Biographical Info

My story. I was hired in the fall of 1990 at a local Albuquerque, New Mexico High School as a marching tech. This was after I arrived home from my rookie year as a soprano line member of the Velvet Knights Drum and Bugle Corps (1990 & 1991). That first teaching opportunity ignited a lifelong commitment to teach, support, and promote the Pageantry Arts as an activity; for all it can offer to those that participate regardless of what level or role. I have served as a visual tech, brass tech, and caption head for both visual and brass. I currently serve as the brass caption head for Williams Field HS in Gilbert, AZ. I have also served as winter guard co-director and designer for over 10 years with my wife at Franklin High School in El Paso, TX from 1999 to 2011. I even dabbled in writing drill for marching band, though I found my staging skills were better suited in the winter guard arena. I am currently a board member and Color Guard Judge Coordinator for Winter Guard Arizona. Previously I served as a board member and past president for the West Texas Color Guard Association in El Paso, Texas. Furthermore, I have been adjudicating marching band and winter guard throughout the country since 2003
