Biographical Info
I just retired following a 32 year career in music education (elementary, band, and orchestra). 28 years as a band director. I have been blessed to have had concert ensembles (including band and orchestra) that received Distinguished ratings throughout every year of my career. In addition, my marching bands have been a KMEA State Finalist 15 times, including Class A (7); Class 2A (2); Class 3A (1); and class 4A (5). I was fortunate to have had two state championship marching bands with the 1998 Grant County Marching Band, and the 2014 Williamstown Band of Spirit Marching Band. In addition, my marching bands earned 2 state runner-up placements and 6 regional marching band championships, 2 MSBA Championships (2013-Class 2A and 2003-Open Class). My 2016 Williamstown band was a 2016 BOA Grand Nationals Semi-Finalist and the 2016 BOA Grand Nationals Class A Runner-up.
I have had the opportunity to adjudicate for the marching band activity for many KMEA loca and regional contests.
